Event

Another option in funding for SMEs

Monday, 15 December 2014

This event is being hosted by the Centre for Enterprise at Manchester Metropolitan University in collaboration with URICA

URICA was born out of deep frustration by traditional banks’ lack of financial innovation for the SMEs marketplace.  It offers a solution in providing SMEs with early cash payment of their invoices without any need for debt, security or personal guarantees. At the same time it provides customers with a strengthened supply chain and an opportunity for extended credit.  URICA is keen to stress that this is not invoice discounting because that  is felt to be just debt by another name.

Financed by the UK Government via the British Business Bank and RSA, URICA was developed by business people for business people. The Presentation and Questions and Answers will be Chaired by: Ian Fitz-Harris, Global Network Development Director at URICA. Ian is a businessman and chartered accountant who built Euro Sales Finance into a market leading European commercial finance business that was the first fund raising on the AiM, listed on the LSE, and was sold to a global banking group.

Of course, delegates will need to conduct their own enquiries as to the suitability and adequacy of the aforementioned services.  Neither Manchester Metropolitan University nor the Centre for Enterprise can guarantee for the quality of services if approached.  On balance though, we thought it worthwhile having this showcase to listen to what URICA has to offer in case it is of interest to the SMEs we work with.
