Russsell Yates, Dr Tamara McNeill and Professor Susan Baines attended the launch meeting for Sustainabilty Alliance of Urban Networks in Asian Cities (SAUNAC).
This 3-year project is funded by the ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education strand. The project focuses on promotion of sustainable cities through new curriculum, teaching methods and regional stakeholder cooperation including new links between students and businesses in Vietnam. SAUNAC is a partnership of 5 European Universities, including Manchester Metropolitan University and partners in Utrecht, Valencia, Hamburg and Turku with 6 universities in Vietnam.
The Centre for Enterprise team at Manchester Metropolitan University will lead on dissemination, the creation of regional networks and the development of a entrepreneurship teaching module for Vietnamese universities. Benefits for businesses and students in Manchester are anticipated as the project provides direct links to businesses and universities in Vietnam. There is potential for SMEs to access new markets in Vietnam and elsewhere in Asia.
