IMPACT 10 - Innovation

The latest edition of the Centre for Enterprise magazine, IMPACT is available now. Read below!

Innovation is the theme of this edition of IMPACT - innovation in products, services and in transforming the way business is done. The UK Government has innovation as one of ten pillars which are important to drive forward industrial strategy across the economy. Innovation can take place through investment in manufacturing, science and technology - and practical commercialisation of new ideas. Whilst there is a lot of attention paid to technology, this edition shares alternative views of those building innovation into their businesses, through new ideas, new technology, new opportunities, entrepreneurial decision-making - and through personal and company resilience.

In this issue:

  • From Taxi Driver to Tourism Superstar with John Consterdine, Manchester Taxi Tours
  • Become Unstoppable with Innovation with Andrew Mooney, Actikem
  • Universities' Role in Accelerating Business Growth with Dharma Nurse, Business Development Manager at the Business Growth Hub
  • Developing High-Tech Hydrogen Fuel Cells with Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre
  • Innovation and the Cloud with Michael Pyne, Synextra
  • Can Digital Tax Returns Really be Made Simple? with Amanda Swales, GoSimpleTax
  • Innovative Approaches to Traditional Sectors with Vicki Swinden, The Print Company
  • Innovation in the North West, with Dr. Valerie Antcliff, Centre for Enterprise
