We work with undergraduates, graduates, alumni and academics to embed enterprise learning in the next generation of business leaders to enable them to start their own business.

Stimulating enterprise and entrepreneurship across our high education instituations is now seen by many governments as fundamental to driving economic success and social cohesion. The NW HE Enteprise Champions Project in the North West region of England is supported by the NWUEU, financed by EU funding and is managed by NCEE.
The Enterprise Champions programme increases the number of new ventures and businesses started by graduates by scaling up the engagement in enterprise and entrepreneurial learning and supporting opportunities across the university campus. Phase One of the project ran from September 2008 until March 2010 and included 10 universities. Manchester Metropolitan University's Enterprise Champion team worked with over 1,000 students and helped to set up over 30 new businesses.
Phase two of the project has been running since 2010 and has recently secured fund
ing until July 2014. This phase focuses on students and graduates starting up their own enterprises with the support of the team. Any student or graduate may attend one of our courses improve their entrepreneurial talent and start their own business. For 2013-2014 we have teamed up with MMU Futures and you can now earn futures points by attending any of our courses.

The HE NW Enterprise Champions are led by Dr. Clare Schofield, a pioneering leader in Enterprise Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. She is supported by Ann Mulhaney, Katie Barrett and Claire Giddens who enthusiastically deliver the course content to students and graduates as well as providing 1-2-1 support where needed. The project is supported by Laura Rimmer who does the administration, marketing, finances and project management for the programme.
The programme is supported by both Alison Brooker and Professor Lynn Martin.
HE NW Enterprise Champions work in conjunction with MMU Futures and Innospace, the Manchester Metropolitan University incubator.
This course is fully funded by ERDF as part of the NW HE Enterprise Champions Project and is therefore subject to eligibility criteria. All of our courses are free to UK or EU students and graduates who are currently living in the North West.
